About your trip
This Arctic adventure is limited to just 14 travelers for an intimate experience.
Enjoy six nights of comfortable 4-star accommodations in a centrally located hotel 🏨 perfect for exploring the city on foot—no rental car needed!
Your package includes airport transfers 🚍 and roundtrip transportation for all activities, ensuring a hassle-free adventure. Throughout the trip, you’ll be accompanied by a dedicated guide (that’s me!) along with local experts along the way.
I've planned a variety of fun winter activities over the duration of our trip to maximize your chances of witnessing the mesmerizing Northern Lights.
Three evenings will feature private tours that take us to darker locations outside Tromsø, even crossing into Sweden or Finland if necessary. These tours include thermal winter gear rentals to keep you cozy while you enjoy the night sky.
Additionally, you’ll have two more opportunities to see the Northern Lights: one after riding the Fjellheisen Cable Car to Storsteinen Mountain and another during an evening with local Sami reindeer herders.
It's recommended that if you are unable to arrive by 3:00pm on your scheduled tour start date, that you should add the optional +1 night and arrive a day early.

My name is Wes - I'm a travel junkie who has visited 30+ countries and counting.
I love travel because it's a great way to experience different cultures, visit some of the most beautiful places on Earth and take part in adventurous activities unique to the destinations I visit.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio 🇺🇸 which I still call home to this day. It serves as the perfect home base for enjoying life back home when I'm not out on the road exploring!

I'm an experienced guide and I've spent the last several winters visiting Tromsø photographing the Arctic's Orcas 🐋, hanging with husky sled dogs, feeding Sami Reindeer by hand and of course, chasing the ✨ Northern Lights!

4 Star Lodging
6 Nights at a 4-star hotel near the harbor in town.

Northern Lights Tour (3)
Three evenings of private Northern Lights Tours in a private shuttle (just us, a local guide and local driver). Includes thermal gear rentals, light meal, hot chocolate or coffee.
Whale Watching (1)
A full day of whale watching with an opportunity to see humpback and killer whales. One meal included, coffee, snacks, beer and other drinks available for purchase on board.
Husky Experience (1)
We'll visit a local dogsledding facility. If there's enough snow we'll dogsled, otherwise we'll hike with the dogs and visit their puppies!
Sami Reindeer Visit (1)
Visit a local group of Sami people who inhabit the Lapland region. We'll feed their reindeer by hand, learn about their culture, enjoy a warm meal and hopefully spot the Aurora at night!
Fjellheisen Gondola (1)
Enjoy views from atop Storsteinen Mountain which overlooks Tromsø. This activity takes place at night giving us the possibility to view Northern Lights!
Other Activities (3)
Tour of the Northernmost Brewery, Happy hour meetup with bowling, Arctic cold plunge and floating sauna

Day 1
Welcome to Tromsø!
Arrive via the Tromsø Airport and enjoy your complimentary airport transfer to the Scandic Ishavshotel.
It's recommended that if you are unable to arrive by 3:00pm on your scheduled tour start date, that you should add the optional +1 night and arrive a day early.
Tonight we'll visit Sami Reindeer Herders for dinner, to learn about their culture, to feed their reindeer and hopefully see the Northern Lights!
Day 2
Whale Watching Safari & The Ice Bar
Today we'll embark on a whale watching safari to the Skervoy area, north of Tromsø for a chance of viewing humpback and killer whales.
In the evening we'll visit Bardus Bistro for some traditional Norwegian cuisine.
Day 3
Polaria, Polar Museet & Northern Lights Excursion
We'll spend the morning exploring Tromsø visiting spots such as Polaria or Polarmuseet before we meet back up for a full night of chasing the Northern Lights together.
Day 4
Mack Brewery Tour & Northern Lights
During the day we'll visit the Northernmost brewery in the world, tour their facilities and enjoy a tasting of their beer at the Ølhallen Tap Room.
In the evening we'll enjoy another full night of chasing the Northern Lights!
Day 5
Group Social Activity & Northern Lights
In the late afternoon we'll meetup for a group social activity, enjoying bowling, billiards and darts in town. In the evening we'll enjoy our third private Aurora chase together!
Day 6
Meet the Huskies, Cold Plunge & Cable Car
Today we'll have private access to the floating sauna in Tromsø's Harbor where we can cold plunge into the Arctic waters.
Afterwards, we'll head to a dogsledding facility and round out our day with a trip up the cable car!
Day 7
Final Morning in Tromsø
Sadly, this will be our final morning together. After breakfast most of our group will start making their way for the airport and the journey home.
If you've got the time off work and budget, this would be a great time to extend your trip elsewhere in Norway or Europe. My recommended route home includes a one night layover in Oslo.
Spend a night here and consider checking out their open air museum, a floating sauna cold plunge in the harbor or a visit to their world famous Christmas Markets (Nov-Dec)!
