Banff July 2026
It’s been two weeks since we returned home from our tour of Banff and the Canadian Rockies. I waited to write a review to see if any of the astonishment of the trip would wear off; it didn’t every time I show friends the pictures of the Banff Gondola to Lake Louise and everything in-between it brings back an immediate smile and lasting memories. Banff was not on our radar however when talking to friends it always came up as a bucket list destination. Our close friends Bob and Sue suggested the trip to us so we checked out the itinerary on Wes’s site. The initial impression was a lot of hiking with folks much younger than my wife, 69 and me 71. We decided to call and speak directly with Wes about our main concern of not enjoying the trip because we couldn’t keep up with the others and would miss out on seeing the beauty of the area. This was not the case at all, I was able to complete all the hikes and for the folks who were hesitant Wes had arranged much shorter hikes.
Every part of Wes’s itinerary worked out smoothly from the airport shuttle to and from Banff to the daily planned bus excursions. We had the same bus driver each day in Banff who was extremely knowledgeable about the National Parks, wildlife and winter life in the area. Chloe, our bus driver, and one of the many Aussie in Banff complimented Wes’s knowledge of the area.
On the trip Wes had a new employee in training for future Banff trips, Luke. Luke is great addition to team Wes as he helped with the photo taking and overall success. Plus those peanut butter and banana sandwiches were the bomb.
Overall this adventure exceeded our expectations and is highly recommended as the most inclusive tour of the Banff Canadian Rockies. We’ll be looking to join Wes on future trips! Ed & Melissa
